Many citizens are voicing conerns of recently admitted items concerning The North Adams Transcript.  It appears that the editor, Michael Foster, is refusing to publish mayoral candidate Ron Boucher's campagin press releases.  The latest was thanking voters for their support in the primary, and letting voters know a press release of an issue position will be released once a week, beginning this week.  Reasons given were that there is not room in the paper for these press releases (Mr. Boucher's was under 400 words), however investigation found only three letters to the editor were published in this timeframe, and one of the letters discredited Mr. Boucher's campaign slogan, "Back to Basics".  This obvious show of bias must stop.

This resident is urging the Editor to publish all candidates Press Releases, assuming they are of reasonable length with appropriate language, within 48 hours of receipt. 

Attempts to reach Mr. Foster for comment were unsuccessful.
