NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The All Saints Berkshire Episcopal Church will deliver a free Thanksgiving dinner to Northern Berkshire seniors.

All Saints will be delivering meals to seniors who live in North Adams, Adams, Cheshire, Clarksburg, Florida Mountain, and Williamstown. The program is for seniors 60 years of age and older who are alone on Thanksgiving with no way of having a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

The meal will be a traditional meal of turkey, stuffing, vegetable, gravy, cranberry sauce roll, and pumpkin pie.

The meals will be delivered on Thanksgiving Day between 11 am and noon. Reservations for a meal is required.

Reservations can be made starting Nov. 10 by calling All Saints Berkshire Episcopal Church at 413-664-9656 Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 1 pm. If no one is present to take the call, the church asks that callers leave a message with their name, address, and phone number. Someone will call back to confirm the reservation.

Reservations must be made by Nov. 25.

This is the 36th year the church has sponsored the program that is made possible because of numerous community donations. The program is organized by volunteers from the Northern Berkshire community and by All Saints Weekend Meal Ministry.

Due to the Massachusetts COVID-19 regulations, there will be safety regulations put in place to protect seniors and the volunteers delivering the meals. The delivery person will wear a mask, gloves and will distance themselves 6 feet. The recipient must also wear a mask.

To assist in a non-contact delivery, the church asks that seniors place a receptacle outside of their door.

Volunteers will call once the meal is delivered.

For those living in group senior housing, the meals will be set up in the community room or lobby and each senior will be called down separately to retrieve the meal. Should a senior be not able to retrieve the meal, they must plan for someone to pick up the meal prior to Thanksgiving.

The church is also looking for volunteers to help deliver meals on Thanksgiving Day. Call the number above to sign up.
