PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire Health Systems will present a free online seminar in late October to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Zoom webinar will feature specialists from the BHS Breast Health Team and will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 7 pm.
The program will inform the community about breast cancer risks, screening options and the resources available for patients in the Berkshires and surrounding region.
Dr. Trevor Bayliss, the Director of the BMC Cancer Center and a cancer survivor, will discuss healthy lifestyle choices that can help to reduce breast cancer risk.
Dr. Caitlyn Lopez, a diagnostic radiologist and medical director of the Women's Imaging Center at BMC will discuss screenings and advanced breast imaging.
Dr. Michael DiSiena, an oncologic surgeon, will talk about the state-of-the-art surgical diagnostics and treatment available for breast cancer at BMC.
Breast cancer can occur in anyone, regardless of age, lifestyle, or family history. Early detection saves lives. Following the online seminar, participants will be given the opportunity to connect with BHS specialists to schedule their screening mammograms.
