To the Editor:
On Tuesday, Nov. 5, I encourage everyone to vote for Lisa Blackmer for North Adams City Council.
Our council has been lacking an expert on state and federal funding resources ever since Lisa left the council a few years ago. The intricacies of Beacon Hill and Washington, D.C., are something that Lisa has become very familiar with in her professional roles in various towns around the region. Knowing which levers to pull and buttons to press will be a great asset to our city's legislative body.
Mark your ballots carefully and seriously. Avoid the gadflies. North Adams is moving in the right direction and Lisa was, and will be, a huge part of that for years to come.
