WEST BOYLSTON, Mass. -- Drury High graduate Nick Bator shot a final round four over par 76 to lead the MCLA Trailblazers at the MASCAC Championships held at Wachusett Country Club.

Bator's two day total of 160 was good for a tie for 12th place.

Springfield College took home the team championship while the Pride's Mike Strong won the individual title via a three way playoff.  Strong shot a 152 over the 36 hole event.

MCLA finished in eighth place.

Bator rebounded from a tough opening day to post a respectable finish. Even though the final round was played in blustery and cool conditions, Bator put together a solid round. He birdied a pair of par fives on the afternoon, the second and fifteenth holes, on his way to the 76.

MCLA's Brett Norman and Reese Dwyer finished T-35 during the tournament.  Norman shot a second round 87, an improvement over his opening day score.  Noah Matrigali was the other Trailblazer to round out the scoring.

The event is the final one of the fall season for MCLA.

Number two doubles went to MCLA, with Jessica DuPont and Alyssa Keegan earning the win over Mary Pulling and Annie Dai by a score of 8-3. Lynx first doubles pair Maddie Abbott and Grace Jovanovich defeated MCLA top pair Bri Higgins and Mackenna Jordan, 8-3.

The No. 6 6 singles match concluded first, with Lesley's Jocelyn Martinez defeating Sam Schwanter by a score of 6-1, 6-0, to put the Lynx on top 4-1 overall.

Lesley's No. 1 Maddie Abbot won the next singles match of the semifinal, 6-0, 6-1 over MCLA's #1 Jessica DuPont.

The Co-Rookies of the Year faced-off at No. 4 singles. Lesley's Summer Lamprey earned the 6-2, 6-3 win to clinch the match for Lesley, 5-1, over Trailblazer McKenna Clark.
