NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Hoosac Valley graduate Megan Richardson stopped 19 shots Tuesday as the MCLA women's soccer team earned a 1-1 tie against Becker College.
Cetera Moore scored in the 59th minute to give the Trailblazers a lead, but Becker answered six minutes later.
The Trailblazers (1-6-1) go to Fitchburg State on Saturday.
Men's Soccer
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Russell Sage scored in the 88th minute to earn a 1-0 win over MCLA.
Mount Greylock graduate Sam Edge stopped five shots for the Trailblazers (1-6), who host Fitchburg State on Friday.
Men's Golf
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Drury graduate Nick Bator carded a 79 at Berkshire Hills to pace MCLA to a seventh-place finish at its invitational.
Westfield State won the event with a score of 313. MCLA's 354 was its best score of the season.
Women's Volleyball
HENNIKER, N.H. -- The MCLA volleyball team defeated the New England College Pilgrims in dramatic fashion as the Trailblazers held on for a 3-2 victory on the road.
The win, MCLA's seventh in eight tries, improved their record to 8-4. The Pilgrims dropped to 5-8.
NEC took the first set 25-18 before MCLA rallied and took the next two sets by scores of 25-23, 25-19. The hosts forced a deciding fifth set by virtue of a 25-15 fourth set. The Trailblazers secured the win with a 15-13 victory in the final set.
Kelly Moczulski, the three-time reigning MASCAC Rookie of the Week, led the team again with 13 kills. She added 22 digs in the win. Tessa Sestito collected a double-double of her own with 23 assists and 15 digs. Houa Xiong led all Trailblazers with 26 digs in the win.
MCLA hosts Mass Maritime on Friday at 6 p.m.
