NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Brittany Breault went 3-for-4 with a sacrifice fly and a grand slam Tuesday to lead Met Life to a 15-4 win over Big Daddy’s in the Pat Torchia Women’s Softball League playoffs.

With the win in the final winner’s bracket game, Met Life moves on to the finals of the double-elimination tournament. Big Daddy’s, the league’s regular season champion, is scheduled to play Thursday at 6 against the winner of Wednesday’s loser’s bracket contest.

On Tuesday, Met Life jumped on top early with a seven-run second inning.

The first seven players to come to the plate singled and ended up scoring.

“Dino” DiNicola had a two-run single to center, and Breault capped the rally with a sac fly to center that scored Sarah Sweet.

In the circle, Sweet allowed just one run while stranding seven runners through the first six innings.

The run for Big Daddy’s came in the bottom of the second.

Kate Haring led off with a double to left center, moved up on Mary Scanlon’s groundout and scored when Jamie Rogge singled to left to make it 7-1.

Met Life tacked on a couple of insurance runs in the fourth, when Sweet doubled and scored.

But the final blow came in the top of the fifth.

Ashlee Lee got things started with a single to left. Then, with two out, Sweet and Melissa Girard each singled to load the bases for Breault.

She then crushed a pitch over the left field fence to make it 13-1.

Jayda Westcott and Sweet (3-for-5) each drove in a run in the sixth to push the lead to 14 runs.

Down to its final at-bat, Big Daddy’s showed the fight that earned it the regular season title.

Haring (2-for-3) led off with a single up the middle, and Scanlon and Rogge each followed with singles. Haring came home on a groundout by Marian Rennell, and with two out, Ammie Beauchamp doubled to right center to score a pair and provide the final margin.

Jen Choquette went the distance in the circle for Big Daddy’s.
