NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Matt Koperniak went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles and five runs batted in Saturday to lead the North Adams SteepleCats to an 11-6 win over Keene at Joe Wolfe Field.
The Hoosac Valley High School graduate improved his batting average to .455 this summer and drove in his 10th run of the season as the Cats improved to 11-6 in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
Shane Muntz went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks in a 12-hit North Adams attack.
Gordon Graceffo earned the win on the mound, striking out four and allowing two earned runs in five innings of work. Ben Shields pitched three innings of scoreless relief before Jimmy Loper finished things up.
North Adams travels to Marthas Vineyard on Sunday.
