NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Andrew Pedone went 3-for-3 and Matt Koperniak went 2-for-2 with a double Wednesday as the North Adams SteepleCats earned a 5-3, rain-shortened win over Sanford, Maine, at Joe Wolfe Field.

 

Scout Knotts went 2-for-3 with a double and drove in three runs, giving him 11 RBIs on the season, as North Adams improved to 10-4 this summer.

 

Nicholas Payero went the distance on the mound, striking out nine, walking two and scattering five hits.

 

The SteepleCats goes to Danbury on Thursday.
