PIKESVILLE, Md. -- Stevenson University scored three times in the bottom of the seventh to break open a tied game and went on to a 7-4 win over the MCLA baseball team in the Trailblazers' season opener on Saturday.
Drury graduate Logan Rumbolt went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, and Taconic's Austin Rachiele had a hit for MCLA.
Pittsfield grad Bobby New took the loss on the mound, going seven innings and allowing three earned runs.
MCLA is scheduled to play Stevenson (4-2) again Sunday in a double-header starting at 8 a.m.
