WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Christopher Gamble placed 32nd Saturday to lead the MCLA men's cross country team at the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference Championships at Mount Greylock Regional School.

 

Gamble covered the 8-kilometer course in 30 minutes, 36.08 seconds. The winning time, 27:17.22, was turned in by Bridgewater State's Trevor Wysong.

 

Fitchburg State won the team total. The host Trailblazers placed seventh.

 

Pittsfield High graduate Owen Fitzgerald and Monument Mountain's Tyler Wade placed 74th and 83rd, respectively, for MCLA.

 

Women's Cross Country

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Julie Gambill (24:50.13) placed 52nd to lead MCLA at the 5-kilometer MASCAC Championships.

 

Drury alumna Hunter Schrade placed 86th in the field. Worcester State's Elisabeth Olson won the individual title with a time of 20:03.86, leading her team to a team title.

 

MCLA placed seventh.
