Our summer fun spot promises frothy beverages, riverside regulars, and friendly new faces when we fire up The Chalet, Oh, Canada artist Dean Baldwin’s sculpture-turned-river-side-beer-garden for just one night each week. Summer’s most precious memories happen here — in the midst of the museum, to the hum of local music, under the Berkshire stars. The bar opens at 5:30pm; events begin around 8pm.

THIS WEEK:

Come on out for a night of honest, heartfelt music with Annie Guthrie — a member of the musical dynasty that is the Guthries. Her grandfather Woody Guthrie said, “You can only write what you see,” and she has taken that to heart, writing songs that tell it like it is. The Misty Blues Trio will follow.

6 – 8 PM
Free!
for more information

Lily Sexton plays a really big guitar. A guitar built in 1949 and owned by her grandfather, when Gibson Jumbos were a man’s instrument. Upon inheriting the J-45, Lily’s fascination with the mystery and richness of the guitar became devotion, and she has been attempting to unlock it’s secrets ever since. A fiddler by nature, Sexton’s original tunes possess the ancient tones of acoustic instruments- the swing of Appalachian Old Time, the subtle throb of bluegrass rhythm, the sweetness of a high, lonesome melody- while her lyrics retain sincerity and vivid relevance. Lily is a fiddler in the progressive bluegrass group, Mamma's Marmalade, and has shared stages with Erin McKeown, Mike Compton, and Joe Newberry. Her solo record is forthcoming!

$5 Strongly Suggested Donation! While we don't have a cover charge, we hope that you can throw a few dollars in the chalice to help support these AMAZING musicians!
