Although BSRM’s Hoosac Valley tracks do not go through the historic Hoosac Tunnel, it’s not stopping the all-volunteer, non-profit organization to find an entertaining way to educate the public on the significance of the civil engineering marvel. On Saturday evenings this October, BSRM will host acclaimed local historian Paul W. Marino, known for his entertaining cemetery walks and retired educator Chris Wondoloski, author of The Hoosac Tunnel Murders, on-board the train as they relate the legend and legacy of the Hoosac Tunnel. The Hoosac Valley Legends Train: The Story of the Hoosac Tunnel departs from North Adams Station located at 98 Crowley Ave., directly behind the Brien Center building at 5:30PM on Saturday, October 8, 15, 22 & 29 only. The round-trip train excursion travels from North Adams to Adams with a stop at Southview Cemetery. Passengers will detrain and experience an approximate 30 minute walking tour of the cemetery led by Paul Marino. Please allow up to two hours for this excursion. Tickets are $20.00 and can conveniently be purchased online by visiting www.hoosacvalleytrainride.com or at the door, based on availability. All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit, all volunteer BSRM. Although family friendly, this experience is not designed to capture the attention of young children and we recommend parents use their discretion.

Inside, you are seen as you, and supported as a woman who feels deeply. Based on the astrology of the new moon, we explore different themes of the divine feminine. Set on, or near the new moon every month, these circles create a container for women to come as they are, no questions asked. All who identify as women are welcome. $10 suggested donation for materials, but please come regardless of ability to pay. Income is no barrier here.
