Cages Baseball Club Drops a Double-Header

The Cages Baseball Club dropped a pair of close decisions to the Champlain Mariners on Saturday.
 
Champlain won the first game, 2-0, and the second, 3-2.
 
In the 3-2 loss, Dominic DeFelice went 2-for-3 with a runs scored and an RBI, and Matt Braman had a hit and scored a run.
 
Alex Carusotto went the distance on the mound, allowing just two earned runs on seven hits and one walk.
 
In the shutout loss, Josh Jezouit was the hard luck loser, allowing just one earned run and striking out seven over six innings.
 
The Cages Club is home on Sunday against the South Troy Dodgers at Mount Greylock Regional School at 2 p.m.
