Cages Drops Close One at South Troy Dodgers

TROY, N.Y. -- Matt Braman and Dominic DeFelice combined on a four-hitter, but the Cages Baseball Club U22 team fell to the South Troy Dodgers, 3-1, on Wednesday night.
 
Braman started and went four innings, striking out four and allowing two hits and two runs.
 
DeFelice surrendered two hits and a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth as South Troy took a 3-0 lead.
 
In the top of the seventh, the Cages (5-8-1) rallied back when Eric Leitch tripled and came home when Brodie Altiere reached on an error, but South Troy was able to end the game on a double play.
 
The Cages travels to Saxtons River, Vt., on Thursday before coming home for a big intra-county matchup against Pittsfield’s American Legion Post 68 on Friday at 5:30 at Mount Greylock Regional School.
