NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Hayden Bird scored 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds on Thursday to lead Drury to a 57-52 win over Berkshire Hoops in the John Giorgi Summer Basketball League at Noel Field.

 

Ryan Harrington added 10 points, four boards and two blocks for the Blue Devils.

 

Antwaun Fye scored nine points, and Jake Tower and Sean McCormack each had eight for Berkshire Hoops.

 

In a battle of previously unbeaten teams, Bennington, Vt.'s, Mount Anthony Union defeated Hoosac Valley, 59-51, behind 24 points and nine rebounds from Tyler Champagne.

 

Damon Burgess scored 17 for the Patriots.

 

Jameson Coughlan had a double-double with 20 points and 15 boards, adn Dahndray Sistrunk scored 11 for the Hurricanes.

 

In women's league action on Thursday, Hollie Steinman and Meredit Sullivan scored 18 and 16, respectively, to lead Teddy's Pizza to a 61-15 win over McCann Tech.

 

Alanza Quinones scored seven, and Ainsley Dean added six for the Hornets.
