Kate Bornstein's signature performance piece creates and emotional affirmation for anyone living outside societal norms, particularly in the lens of sexuality and gender. Kate Bornstein, a performance artist and playwright, is the author of several books, including Gender Outlaw: On Men, Women, and the Rest of Us; My Gender Workbook; and a memoir, A Queer and Pleasant Danger: the true story of a nice Jewish boy who joins the Church of Scientology, and leaves twelve years later to become the lovely lady she is today.

The North Adams Police Union MassCops Local 382 will be presenting its annual winter concert at the Drury High School Auditorium featuring "7 Bridges Road," a tribute to the Eagles. Proceeds will benefit community donations, which have been used to provide scholarship funds to area high schools, donations to local youth programs, the Relay for life and more. Child Care of the Berkshires Inc.’s Youth Mentoring Program is hosting the third annual Bowl-A-Thon For Kids. Bowlers and friends will be at Greylock Bowl & Golf in North Adams. Teams of four can pre-register for $25 per person; included in the registration fee are the costs of shoes and up to three bowling games in each 1-1/2 hour time slot.  There will be a raffle as well as individual and team prizes. All funds raised will go directly to support the Youth Mentoring Program: to expand the program, to offer fun activities for the youth, and to buy supplies for mentor/mentee activities.
