BELLE VERNON, Pa. -- The Berkshire Battalion's third-period rally fell short on Sunday as the Steel City Warriors held on for a 6-5 win in the Federal Hockey League.
Steel City scored the game's first three gooals in the first period and had a 5-3 lead midway through the fourth, but Vadim Guskov converted a penalty shot to get Berkshire within a goal with 4 minutes, 47 seconds on the clock.
After Steel City scored a short-handed goal in the final minute, Michael Dolman responded with a power-play goal for Berkshire with 25 seconds on the clock.
Tristan Lysko, Martin Uhnak and Jeffrey Sanders had a goal apiece for Berkshire, which got 38 saves from Daniel Palmkvist in the loss.
Berkshire travels to Danbury on Friday.
