NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Matthew Hamilton scored 1 minute, 14 seconds into overtime as the Berkshire Battalion treated its fans to a 3-2 victory over rival Danbury, Conn., on Halloween night at the Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink.

 

Berkshire (3-1) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second period on goals by Jeffrey Sanders and Tristan Lysko.

 

But Danbury (1-3) responded with a pair of third-period goals, the second with 3:20 left in regulation to force overtime.

 

In OT, Sanders and Vadim Guskov set up Hamilton for the game-winner.

 

Louie George stopped 44 shots on a night when Berkshire was outshot, 46-33.

 

Berkshire finishes a home-and-home series in Danbury on Saturday night.
