The City of North Adams and BRPC are working to identify a feasible route for the North Adams sections of the Berkshire (Ashuwillticook) Bicycle and Walking Trail. Please join us at this open house to learn about the preliminary route of the section between Williamstown and North Adams, the potential benefits and impacts of a bike path, and to provide YOUR input. The Berkshire Battalion are home Friday, October 31st at 7:35 pm vs. the Danbury Whalers.  This is first of 8 home games vs. the Whalers. At this game fans are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume.  In between the 2nd & 3rd period fans will be invited out onto the ice.  The contestant with the best costume as voted on by the fans will win a new TV. The contest is open to fans of all ages. Kids under 12 who pre-register for the event will receive a complimentary ticket to the game. Williams College invites you to experience the wonders of our universe! Astronomy students at the college will host free shows for the public on the following Friday evenings at 8 p.m.: Sept 12, 19, and 26; October 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31; November 7, 14, 21, and 28; and December 5.  Audiences will be treated to shows from the high-precision Zeiss Skymaster ZKP3/B opto-mechanical planetarium projector, installed in April 2005. For reservations (recommended) contact Michele Rech at (413) 597-2188 or email at mcr4@williams.edu. Others will be admitted as space permits. Large groups should call for special appointments. Shows will last about 50 minutes.
