PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Greylock Federal Credit Union has donated $5,000 to benefit the Sports Camp Program offered by the Northern Berkshire YMCA in North Adams.

The program provides a range of sports-related experiences to children ages 4-12 with weekly camp sessions running through Aug. 15.

Greylock’s Victoria May, assistant vice president, manager marketing promotions & partnerships, said Greylock is happy to partner with the Northern Berkshire YMCA.

"The sports camps offer the kinds of healthy experiences to community children that we are always ready to support,” she said.

Justin Ihne, CEO of the Northern Berkshire YMCA, said the donation is appreciated.

“Our camps offer sports and team building activities that help children build confidence, self esteem, and leadership skills," he said. "Greylock’s generous donation supports that work and is greatly appreciated by the many families benefiting from the program.”

The Northern Berkshire YMCA is for Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. It serves a geographic area which consists of the following Massachusetts communities: North Adams, Adams, Williamstown, Clarksburg, Savoy, Florida, Cheshire and southern Vermont communities of Stamford, Bennington and Pownal.
