09:17AM / Thursday, November 15, 2012

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — North Adams Public Library announced a special paver installation related to a donated flag pole, given in memory of Sfc. Robert J. Swain, a loyal library patron. The pole is dedicated to all veterans who have served and who walk through the doors of the library.

The library is creating a limited amount of pavers for this special purchase program for the area around the flag pole. Each individual paver will be inscribed with the insignia of the branch of the service that the veteran served along with his or her military rank, first name, middle initial and last name.

Applications are available at the library and can be printed off the library's website, www.naplibrary.com. Each paver costs $150. Submit a DD-214 with the application. These pavers will be installed in the spring of 2013 with a special dedication ceremony.

For more info, contact the library at 413-662-3133.
