Ever think you'd see that price again? This was taken in Stamford but there are reports some North Adams' gas stations are that low as well.

Berkshire Enterprises to Hold Breakfast Forum

- August 25, 2008

Berkshire Enterprises is holding its next Free Business Breakfast Forum on Friday September 5th from 7:30-9:00 AM in the third floor Board Room at One Fenn Street in Pittsfield. The Forum is titled What’s Going On?—tracking changes in your market place, your customers, and your competition. This forum will be led by Steve Fogel, Program Director of Berkshire Enterprises. Mr. Fogel has said, “Businesses that aren’t prepared for a changing economy are not prepared to survive.”

The forum will feature a discussion of ways local business people can develop ways to find out about changes that are going on in their markets in time to react. These changes can include changing technology or changes in exchange rates that might bring more foreign tourists to their area or make their products more attractive as exports. Changes that might effect customers include how they will respond to the increased price of gas and new media that they might find attractive. Changes to competition include the opening of competitors or the closing of other competitors. It might include new products or pricing offered by these competitors.

The Forum is funded by generous support from Greylock Federal Credit Union, Legacy Banks, Berkshire Bank, TD Banknorth, and the Pittsfield Cooperative Bank with space provided by CompuWorks. The forum is aimed at owners and managers of small businesses and those who support small businesses. The forums include an active discussion of techniques that work and can be implemented easily. Berkshire Enterprises holds free monthly business forums. A light breakfast is included. Anyone who is interested in attending should register by calling Steve Fogel at 413-236-2141. Space is limited and reservations are required.

Berkshire Enterprises is a program of the Office for Workforce Development at Berkshire Community College.
