NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The MCLA men's soccer had three different players find the back of the net as it cruised past visiting Massachusetts Maritime Academy 3-0 Friday evening in MASCAC action at Shewcraft Field.   With the win, the Trailblazers snap a four game slide and are now 3-7 overall and 1-2 in conference play. The Buccaneers drop to 2-7 and are also 1-2 in the MASCAC.   Both teams came out firing in the first half, but ultimately MCLA found the net in the 10th minute. NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The North Adams Basketball League has announced registration for its 2017-18 season for boys and girls.   Registration for the Instructional Division (Pre K - 2nd grade Co-ed), Whitney Girls Division (3rd grade - 8th grade) and the John Gaudreau Memorial Boys Division (3rd grade - 8th grade) will be on Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m.; Thursday, Oct. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m.; and Saturday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon at the North Adams Armory.   The registration fee is $40 for the first child and $25 for any additional children in the same family (Instructional fee is $25). WESTFIELD, Mass. -- The MCLA golf team shot a season best 327 Tuesday afternoon at the Brett Williamson Invitational hosted by Westfield State University at Tekoa Country Club.   The host Owls won the event with a score of 295.   MCLA had all four golfers shoot 84 or better on the par 71, 6,438 yard layout.     Matt Lawrence continued his strong play with a round of 79 to lead the team. Liam Nolan and Josh Fortier posted their best scores of 2017 with 82's on the day. It was Berkshire County golf weekend at Williams College’s Taconic Golf Club over the weekend.   Five alumni of area high schools represented their teams in the two-round Williams Invitational.   (Mount Greylock) carded rounds of 76 on Saturday and Sunday to tie for 15th place as an individual and help the Williams men finish second, five strokes behind team champion Trinity.   Hoosac Valley graduate and Salem State placed seventh out of 19 squads competing. WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Westfield State University's women's soccer team posted a 5-0 victory over Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference game Saturday morning at Alumni Field.   The first half was dominated by the Owls (3-2-2, 2-0-0). Westfield State junior midfielder Bella Eduardo scored off of a rebound in the 13th minute of play to get the quick 1-0 lead over MCLA.   The second half proved to be more of the same. WILLIAMS COLLEGE, Mass. -- The Williams College volleyball team received 27 assists from Alex Newton and 10 kills from Ally Ostrow to beat the MCLA Trailblazers 3-0 on Wednesday.   In the loss, Trailblazer senior Mele Enomoto recorded her 1,000th career dig in the second set to join the "grand" club at MCLA (2-11). LENOX, Mass. -- The Allen Heights Veterinary team won Sunday's Josh Billings RunAground Triathlon in record time.   Biker Josh Lipka, kayakers Tom Keefe and Ben Pigott and runner Steve Monsulick combined to cover the course in 2 hours, 15 minutes, 28 seconds.   The old record, set by a team from High Lawn Farm, was 2:15:55.   On Sunday, Allen Heights finished 11 minutes ahead of runner-up You Doin' the Josh, which finished in 2:26:32 with Jonathan Molk biking, Tim Hudyncia paddling a canoe and Scott Carpenter running.   The event sends bikers over a 27-mile course, includes a 5-mile canoe, kayak or paddleboard leg and ends with a 6-mile run.   The top
