A small electrically-powered motor is attached to the crank. GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Berkshire Bike and Board is finding a burgeoning market in e-bikes.   Electronic bicycles have been in existence for more than a decade but only recently has the technology begun to take hold in the Berkshires.   The bicycles are just like traditional bikes and made by traditional bike manufacturers. But they come with a small battery-powered motor attached to the crank to assist with the peddling.   "There are no throttles. You have to pedal to make them go. They are definitely different from a moped or a motorcycle or anything like that," Berkshire Bike and Board

NORTH ADAMS, Mass —With the season quickly nearing its end, the SteepleCats needed a win to get back on track and behind dominant pitching and early offense, that’s exactly what they got.

After a two-game road trip this week, the North Adams SteepleCats made their way home on Friday to face off against the Southern Division leaders in the Plymouth Pilgrims. Behind the big early offense courtesy of Hoosac Valley graduate Matt Koperniak and a rowdy crowd, the SteepleCats were able to find their way back into the win column with a big 7-5 victory over the Pilgrims.

In his second start, AIC sophomore Joe Kemlage came out strong for North Adams. After getting into an early jam

HOLYOKE, Mass. —As the SteepleCats offense came up just short in Laconia on Tuesday night, their offense struggled to find the plate on Wednesday night.

With just a short drive across Berkshire County, the North Adams SteepleCats trekked to Holyoke, MA to battle the Valley Blue Sox Wednesday evening. Yet runners left on base on fielding errors plagued the SteepleCats, allowing the Blue Sox to capture a 6-2 victory.

The first four and a half innings shaped up to be a classic pitcher’s duel between Valley’s starting pitcher Endy Morales and the SteepleCats’ starter Andrew DiPiazza. The pair worked their way out of many tough situations, as the teams combined for a

LACONIA, NH. —It’s always a tough break when two longballs can’t secure a victory for your team.

That was just the case for the SteepleCats on Tuesday night as the Winnipesaukee Muskrats drove in four runs including a walk-off home run in the 9th inning to beat the North Adams SteepleCats 7-6.

Winnipesaukee was able to grab an early lead off of SteepleCats starter Chris Cepeda, as a Brian Kelly sacrifice fly scored a run in the 1st and a passed ball brought in Reagan Teegarden in the 2nd. Yet Cepeda settled down after that, going four more innings with only allowing two more hits.

Muskrats’ starter Michael Anthony held the SteepleCats scoreless through four, but the
