Donna Elizabeth (Lewis) Durant 72, of North Adams died Monday September 7, 2020 at Berkshire Medical Center North in North Adams, MA. She was born in North Adams on December 14, 1947 a daughter of the late David and Lyda Marie (White) Lewis. Donna attended schools in North Adams and graduated from the former St. Joseph Parochial High School in North Adams. She then obtained for bachelor's degree from North Adams State College. Donna taught for several years at the Clarksburg Elementary School. She then was employed at the North Adams Transcript and last in employed for the Brien Center in North Adams.

She was an avid reader and loved history and trip to the ocean with her family.

Her husband George P. Durant whom she married November 23, 1973 died February 4, 2011. Survivors include a daughter Melissa Filippi and her husband Jack of Pittsfield and son Thomas M. Ronan of North Adams. Seven grandchildren Amber Ronan, Brittany Ronan, Nathan Ronan, Chanze Filippi, William Atwell, Jennifer Atwell and Brandi Burdick. A Sister, Debbie Mongeau and her husband Arthur of North Adams, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her brother David "Eddie" Lewis Jr. who died April 30, 2016.

Funeral Services for Donna Durant will take place Friday September 11, 2020 at 2PM at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA. Calling Hours at the funeral home are Friday from 12 PM to 2PM. Memorial donations are suggested for the St. Vincent de Paul Conference through the funeral home.
