NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Veronica Rosella "Ronnie" (Fortini) Landry, 96, of North Adams, Mass., died Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at her home.

She was born in North Adams, Mass., on April 5, 1922 daughter of Frank E. and Pauline (LeGrand) Fortini. She attended local schools. Veronica was employed at Sprague Electric Co for a short time. She was primarily a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church. Ronnie enjoyed painting and playing cards.

She was the widow of Edward Henry Landry Sr., who died on August 21, 2007.  They were married on April 26, 1941, in St. Anthony of Padua Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Linda Landry of North Adams, Paula (Craig) Chalifoux of The Villages, Florida, Doris (Richard) Orell of North Adams, Mary (Peter) Bell of Bernardston, Mass., Marilyn (David) Beaudreau of Ayer, Mass., and Lisa (Peter) Milanesi of North Adams; three sons, Edward H. "Ted" (Linda) Landry of Lyndonville, Vt., David (Martha) Landry of Pelham, N.H., and Peter (Sue) Landry of Stamford, Vt.; 14 grandchildren, including Todd (Espree) Landry, Trisha (Brooks) Gray, Joseph (Jessica) Chalifoux, Adam Landry, Alicia Landry, Angela Landry, Phillip Landry, Tyler (Khem) Landry, Emily (Doyle) Springett, Christopher Bell, Nathan Beaudreau, Yvonne Beaudreau, Christopher Milanesi and Olivia Milanesi; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Rondeau, and one brother, Robert Fortini, both of North Adams; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.  

She was predeceased by two sisters and four brothers, including Rita Pedrin, Bernadette Barbeau and John, William, Frank and Donald Fortini.

Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Veronica Landry will be celebrated Friday, November 16, 2018, at 1 p.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.  

Calling hours at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass., are Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or the Sisters of St. Joseph in care of the funeral home.
