NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Marilyn (Sue) Law Superneau passed away peacefully on October 27, 2018.
Born on July 26, 1938, to Joseph and Florence (Morin) Law, Sue spent all of her life residing in North Adams. She graduated in 1956 from Drury High School; she then worked for several years in the Art Department of the Excelsior Printing Company.
On August 20, 1960, Sue married her best friend from high school, Ron Superneau. Together they had four children: Gary, Sandra, Terri-Lynn and Julie. They spent 32 years living at the Church Hill house filled with love, happiness, and memories. Over the years Sue and the kids all had their time working at “The Bowl” helping Ron and learning that hard work pays off.
Over the years Sue showed her love for the city of North Adams, volunteering in many capacities. She served as the chair person for the NARH gift shop, participated in many city political campaigns, and was a member for many years at the schools' PTAs. Sue was instrumental for many years in the city’s Fall Foliage Festival Queen, contest often taking winners to the Miss Massachusetts' pageant.
As her own children became adults, she settled into two careers changes; she spent 35 years as a real estate broker and worked at the Williams College Museum of Art until her retirement in 2006. Part of her greatest joy was being with her family at Sunday dinners and attending all of her grandchildren’s activities. She never missed a "Grandparent’s Day" for all of her six grandchildren.
Sue leaves her daughters, Sandra and her husband Steven Cote, Terri-Lynn Superneau and her partner William Kalisz, and Julie Davine; daughter-in-law Beverly Superneau; her grandchildren, Shelby and her husband Nick, Michael, Kelsey, Tyler, Austin and Dakota; her sisters Bonnie Rennell and Barbara Sherman; sister-in-law Inez Superneau; several cousins, including, Doreen, Lana, Nancy and Ellen, with whom she so enjoyed monthly lunches; and several nieces and nephews.
Sue was predeceased by her beloved husband Ron and son Gary Superneau who passed six months apart, and brother Donald Law
