Michael F. Gagne, 64

October 15, 2018


NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Michael F. Gagne, 64, of North Adams died Monday evening, October 15, 2018, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.



He was born in Adams on April 18, 1954, a son of the late Everett and Lucille (Trottier) Gagne, and attended schools in North Adams, graduating from C.H. McCann Technical High School. Mike worked as a technician for Ott Motor Imports for over 20 years, until retiring.



He was a Ham Radio Operator, his call sign being N1MGA, and was a member of the Southern Vermont Amateur Radio Club. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a talented artist.



He is survived by his son, Eric Gagne and his wife, Carrie, of Peru, Mass.; two grandchildren, Ila and Isaac Gagne, both of Peru; one brother, Steven Gagne of Arizona; one sister, Paulette Remillard of North Adams; his companion, Linda Wlodyka of Cheshire; as well as several nieces and nephews.



He was predeceased by a brother, Alan Gagne.



Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Rev. William D. Furey will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.



Calling hours are Monday morning from 10 a.m. until the service, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Alpha 1 Foundation, which works to research and treat Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, at 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd. Coral Gables, FL 33134, or at www.alpha1.org.
