Rachel E. Crowley, 84

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Rachel Elizabeth (LeClair) Crowley, 84, of North Adams, Mass., died Thursday June 28, 2018, at Williamstown Commons.



She was born in Adams, Mass., on January 2, 1934, daughter of Joseph and Mary (Greenbush) LeClair. She attended schools in Adams and North Adams and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1952. Rachel was employed at various retail stores in North Adams but was primarily a homemaker devoted to her family.



She was a communicant of Sts. Patrick and Raphael Church. Rachel enjoyed sewing, baking, and sports and was a Boston Red Sox baseball fan. In her younger years, she received medals for her speed-skating. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.



She was the widow of Charles Crowley, who died on June 21, 2006. They were married on August 1, 1953.



Survivors include two daughters, Debra A. Canales and her husband, Gregory, of Hancock, Mass., and Cynthia L. Ferris and her husband, Edward, of Pittsfield, Mass.; one son, Lt. Col. Michael P. Crowley, USAF Ret., and his wife, Kathleen of Portland, Maine; five grandchildren, including Amy Eichhammer, Erin Wright, Vincent Tardibuono, Peter Crowley and Kevin Crowley; five great-grandchildren, Bailee, Alexander, Tucker, Harper and Sophia; and nieces and nephews.



She was predeceased by her sister Elaine Morrow; and her brother John Edward LeClair.



Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Rachel Crowley will be celebrated Saturday, July 14, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Patrick and Raphael Church, Williamstown.  Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.  



Calling hours at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St. North Adams, Mass., are Fridaym July 13, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare of the Berkshires or the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
